Hotel Albergo Antico Distretto

For the price paid, this was a great place to stay!! The room furniture was a bit old fashioned but we had a big bed (bigger than a queen size) and the bathroom had been refurbished. It was spacious and the shower bigger than the usual tiny European size. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels replaced. All employees were very courteous and kind. We had a safe place to park in the courtyard. The area wasn’t fancy but well kept and we felt save. Close to all the downtown stuff.

The place was a disappointment, other than the location. The reviews I read elsewhere were misleading. Accommodation is poor, not too clean, the breakfast room and breakfast were bad, Internet was not working. The staff is not too pleasant, and they didn't save us a parking spot like we asked and they promised, and also no baby bed (they claimed we weren't specific enough) and they said it was too late to search for it. The floors were all very hard tiles, so not safe either. We had to drive around the block in an unknown city at night for almost an hour to find a parking spot, and they would not help at all. They also wouldn't do anything about the Internet, and were generally unpleasant, especially the man who seemed to be the owner. Very bad experience and would not recommend, and we will certainly not be back. Left as soon as we could in the morning.
